The
German Cluster Data Centre (GCDC) located at MPS Katlenburg-Lindau is part of the
Cluster Science Data System (CSDS). The CSDS designed to support multi-instrument and multi-spacecraft data analysis, will allow the scientific community to have an easy and quick access to the Cluster data products. It is based on a set of eight National Data Centres.
The primary task of GCDC is to generate and make available the Prime Parameters (PPDB) and Summary Parameters (SPDB) for the
EDI and
RAPID experiments based on the Raw Data delivered by the
European Space Operation Centre (ESOC). This will be done in cooperation with the two German PI instituts,
MPE Garching for EDI and
MPAe Lindau for RAPID.
The data products are made available to the Cluster scientific community via web interfaces.
