Plasma Physics
Back to Basic Research
Plasma production (cold atmospheric plasmas)
by means of:
- Radio Frequency
- Microwave Frequency
- Corona Discharge (CD)
- Dielectric Barrier discharge (DBD)
- Barrier Corona Discharge (BCD)
In practically all cases considered, the plasma is produced in short duration
locally confined micro-discharges. The physical processes studied include the
trigger mechanisms, transport and confinement, collisions, excitation,
ionisation, recombination, magnetic field interactions, UV emission, thermal
emission, spectroscopy and diagnostics of chemical composition.
